About The Author
Amanda Ostheller
Amanda Ostheller, born in 1981, is married with three kids and lives in the Bonney Lake area of Washington. She has always had a passion for writing and is very excited to finally have this opportunity to share it with the world. Rise of the Sun is her first book with two more on it's tail. One of her children has been diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome which has helped her to become a strong advocate for TSA (Tourette Syndrome Association), a much needed research and development team for Tourette's. She is donating 100% of the profits made from Rise of the Sun to TSA in hopes to find a cure for this socially unacceptable disorder.
The Sun Trilogy is not only a thrilling blend between Young Adult and Fantasy, but also a thoroughly researched depiction of life in Alaska. Living eighteen years of her life on a small island gave Amanda the opportunity to experience all that Alaska had to offer. After graduating high school, she moved to The Evergreen State to begin her college career at Eastern Washington University, focusing on English Literature and Elementary Education. These experiences have given her the hopes and dreams that she now possesses for the success of this lesson on true love and sacrifice.
Rise of the Sun is the first book in the Sun Trilogy and was published in March of 2009. Check back for release dates and events coming soon.
